I am allergic to poison ivy. Is there any poison ivy nearby?

No, there are no poison ivy, poison oak or poison sumac or any climbing plants in our area due to the cold climate.

Do you have a pool or is one located nearby?

We have an above-ground pool which is open to anyone staying. THERE IS NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY; therefore, all children under the age of 14 MUST have adult supervision while using the pool facilities. Pool rules must be obeyed at all times.

How do your prices compare to local Hotels/Motels?

Generally we are 40% cheaper with no hassling from any crowds or confusion.

Our Meditation group/nonprofit organization would like to spend a few days during the week, is it possible to reserve some sites for a number of people?

All Religious organizations are welcome from inner city to local fellowship groups. You must make reservation by 3 weeks before you plan to stay.

What is the weather like in July/August season?

Nights are cool, mid 60's, to any where upwards of 95 during the day. A variety of clothes is appropriate.

How many blueberries may I pick without charge?

There is no charge for blueberries or apples. You may pick and eat as many as you want. Keep in mind if they aren't picked birds and animals tend to eat them off the bushes.

How can I make payment to reserve the Cabin/Trailer?

You may make payment by Visa & MasterCard are accepted via PayPal or by check, money order & cash in person.

When are the quiet hours?

10pm - 8am

Do you provide any kind of night lighting at any sites?

200' of tier lighting along the driveway entrance area. Make sure you still bring flashlights or lanterns. You are in mother nature's land.

What time should I plan my trip to leave so I dont arrive after dark?

In the summer time it usually gets dark sometime around 8:30 so if you are pretty confident travelling try to give yourself time to arrive before then.

Are there any fish in the brook? May I fish there?

Yes there is small bait fish and an occasional brook trout. Large lakes for Fishing are near by.

I would like to use my GPS to find your place, what are the longitude/latitude coordinates?

We are located at 41N 44'03" x 74W 52'30"

What are your rules on smoking?

No smoking is allowed in the Cabin or the Rental Trailer. Due to dry weather in the summer it is extremely important that you make sure your cigarettes are out as to not start a fire!

Does the brook ever dry up?

In the 37 years we have been here it has only slowed up a small amount. It is fed by natural springs, one of them being on the grounds.

Are there any cows nearby or farms I could visit?

Just on the other side of the road next to the main entrance you will occasionally find dairy cows gathering together on a neighbor's 450 acre dairy farm. Also there are petting farms nearby.

What are your policies on family reunions?

Same as church fellowship groups, just give us enough notice in advance. We can supply a canopy and a few picnic tables. Keep the weather in mind, if it rains there is no shelter for 50 people.

If I dont feel like cooking is it possible to eat out?

Yes,there are excellent restaurants near by.
